Part 2 in the series: Living in Harmony with the Seasons

On April 13, 2014, Emma K. Dweck will present Bright & Clear, the second in a series of workshops entitled Living in Harmony with the Seasons, which Emma is presenting in partnership with Path to Bliss Yoga of Pleasant Valley.

Learn through meditation, education, movement, writing & discussion how to stay healthy, flexible, & energized this spring.

This special spring benefit workshop will be presented at the Northeast Community Center (NECC) in Millerton, NY, and will benefit the Karen Kisslinger Fund for Healthy Living

Using the ancient wisdom of Chinese Medicine, as well as practical lifestyle tips, this workshop will explore how to use the natural rhythms of nature to tap into our creativity, health, and cultivation of benevolence this spring.

The workshop will culminate in a seed-starting session, in which participants will learn how easy and inexpensive it can be to start seeds and grow food from "scratch!"

All proceeds will be donated to the Karen Kisslinger Fund for Healthy Living, a scholarship fund that will grant yearly scholarships to students planning to study alternative or community health, organic agriculture and sustainable growing, yoga, meditation or other contemplative arts, or socially engaged spiritual practices.

The fund was established as a memorial fund by Emma and her family, in honor of her mother, Karen Kisslinger, who died in 2009. An accomplished acupuncturist, teacher, writer and organic gardener, Ms. Kisslinger had a wide impact on the health of the region through program development. She was the founder of the Millerton Farmers Market at NECC and taught basic principles of organic gardening and stress reduction to teens through NECC’s Farm and Food Education Program.
